The Notionaries and Lincka Kick Off New VZD’s Concert Series

This Saturday, alternative rock group The Notionaries and indie pop artist Lincka will play long-standing local music venue VZD’s Restaurant & Bar as part of a new concert series with Cellar Door Music Group.

The show will be the first in a bimonthly series of live music performances hosted with Cellar Door that will henceforth occur each second and fourth Saturday of the month at the storied corner of Western & NW 42nd.

The Notionaries, hot off their 2015 debut EP Brave With Wires, will headline with their signature blend of upbeat alt rock sounds and catchy pop song structures. Also on the bill is buzz artist Lincka, who recently took home an OK Gazette Woody Award for Best Latin act for her fresh, crowd-pleasing approach to indie pop music.

Those who have stayed on the pulse of VZD’s will know it reopened last year under new management after a high-profile closure by its former owner. While the restaurant side of the business has introduced an exciting new approach thanks to years of experience brought on by the new restauranteurs, the entertainment has been more sporadic. This will be the first time since the change of hands that the venue will have regularly scheduled music events.
